Episode 3 of ‘The Seduction’ offers the most emotional intimacy yet, but star Lucas Bravo reveals how the scenes ‘Trick the Mind’

Temptation It is a precursor to Hazardous compounds – So there would clearly be a dangerous level of intimacy (pun intended). For Isabelle de Merteuil (Anamaria Vartolomei) and Madame de Rosemonde (Diane Kruger), sex is power and the social currency with which they reach the higher levels of society.

From the moment we pressed play on the HBO Max show, there were a lot of partially clothed bodies. We’re getting close though Temptation In Episode 3, these scenes become much more nuanced and layered.

“We had a lot of conversations beforehand,” says Bravo. “We had an intimacy coordinator who literally sent us long pages asking, ‘Where can I accept being touched?’ What can I touch? What do I want? What am I trying to avoid? It was very specific.

“We met at this gym and they saw us on the mats, wrestling on the ground, throwing and all that. We were very clear about what we could and couldn’t do and what the show was going to be like. There were no surprises that day and the intimacy coordinator was always there.”

What Bravo says next I find particularly interesting given the debate in the industry about whether intimacy coordinators are necessary in these situations.

“But we’re adult actors and I know there are intimacy coordinators for people who maybe don’t feel safe and need a third person. For us, we had that conversation beforehand and felt very comfortable with the direction we wanted to take and how impactful we wanted certain scenes to be. So when we started filming, we felt pretty safe.”

“Don’t get me wrong, there are always moments. While I was suffocating Diane for an entire afternoon, I thought, ‘You’re still a good person. You are still a good person.” He is a character, but he deceives you. Where does Gercourt begin and where should he begin?”

Filming these scenes is as intense as watching them, especially when you see the romantic interactions. Temptation often gets angry.

Funnily enough, I’m very proud of Bravo. This is undoubtedly one of his best roles to date and I’m glad that audiences around the world see him as more than just Gabriel. Emilia in Paris. He plays an incredibly convincing and manipulative villain, and he clearly made an effort to do so.
