Anthropic’s latest version of its most powerful generative AI model could revolutionize the way you manage your spreadsheets. the company said Claudius Opus 4.5, announced Monday, focuses on things you do at work, like programming and office work.
Google presented its new powerful Gemini 3 Model was released last week and OpenAI GPT5.1 previous week. Now it’s Anthropic’s turn. The company, popular with businesses and software professionals, said Opus 4.5 focuses on getting work done, not generating content.
Claude Opus 4.5 will be generally available and will be a standard model for Pro (starting at $17/month), Max (starting at $100/month) and Enterprise users.
Designed for creating documents, spreadsheets and presentations, Opus 4.5 can automate simple office tasks using your computer and web browser. This also includes the use in Claudio for chromiuma browser extension that allows Claude to perform internet tasks for Max users.
With this version, the three Claude models belong to the 4.5 generation. Anthropically released Sonnet 4.5its mid-range model, in September and Haiku 4.5its smallest model, in October.
Progressive discussion Models like the Opus are designed to perform complex and demanding tasks. While a smaller, cheaper model for large languages produces an answer based on the likelihood of the training data, a reasoning model repeats and refines its activities to produce a better or more complete answer. This takes more time, but ensures that the AI can handle more difficult operations.
Reasoning models are particularly useful for complex programming projects or intensive research. The downside is that they are slower and more expensive to manage, so companies often limit them to paid subscriptions or set strict usage limits.
