First season of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has been revealed and is one of the biggest updates in the history of the series.
The game launches next week, on December 4th, and will offer plenty of content across all the main modes of the first-person shooter.
This includes four multiplayer maps from day one: new Fate, Utopia and Odysseus, as well as a remaster of the popular Standoff. Black Ops 2. Next up is a holiday version of Hijacked, then a new Japanese-inspired map called Yakei, and a remaster of Meltdown, also from BlackOps2.
If all that isn’t enough, Fringe, a card from last year. Black ops6, It also comes up.
Of all these cards, Fate and Yakei are by far the most interesting to me. Destiny takes place in a twisted version of Menéndez’s iconic Nicaraguan hideout Return operations 2 End the campaign with a floating island and giant machetes sprouting from the ground.
It’s incredibly nostalgic, but with a surreal feel, making it one of the coolest cards in the series so far in my opinion.
Yakei has an equally strong art direction that I can’t wait to explore further. Located on the rooftops of a futuristic Japanese city, full of neon lights and eye-catching signs with many ledges, perfect for parkour.
This map series features a selection of new modes, including the return of Prop Hunt, One In the Chamber, Sharpshooter, Gun Game, Takeover and Sticks & Stones.
There will also be two limited-time “Codmas” modes during the holidays: Snowfight and Holiday Havoc.
There will also be a number of new weapons throughout the season, including the Kogot-7 SMG, Maddox RFB assault rifle, Sokol 545 LMG, NX Ravager crossbow, ballistic knife, Sturmwolf 45 SMG and Hawker HX sniper rifle.
There will also be new accessories to earn, one of which looks particularly terrifying and lets you drop the super-fast Akita guns.
The end game gets a big content boost
The campaign’s in-game co-op mode, which recently became available to all players regardless of campaign progress, is about to get even bigger thanks to four incredibly strange new world events.
In Colossus of Avalon, high-level players must defeat one of the giant mechanical robots we previously saw walking menacingly in the background. Black Ops 2 Zombie Short.
The global Wraith Wing event will feature another new boss in the form of a giant team-chasing VTOL. Instead of focusing on a single main boss, Toxic Tyrant challenges players to defeat waves of powerful enemies unleashed by a deadly biological weapon roaming the world.
Publisher Activision is also announcing another global event, but we’ll have to wait and see what it will be.
For more experienced players, a new exotic skill system offers the opportunity to further enhance your character with special abilities by completing these world events.
The zombies are getting bigger and bigger.
The new map “Astra Malorum” shows the wealth of innovations for zombies with its new enemy types, beautiful weapons, traps and a main mission to dive into.
Survival mode fans will also enjoy a new environment in patch 115, located in the Reba’s Diner area of the existing Ashes of the Damned map.
I’m just scratching the surface as all of this brings new challenges, camos, timed events and more.
Big changes are coming in the area of free-to-play War zone Also part, more specifically in the form of a new resurrection letter and two Black Ops 7themed attractions in Verdansk.
