  • Garmin’s Vivosmart 6 tracker has just leaked on several websites
  • The leaks detail the upcoming features that are expected to come with the device.
  • For the first time, this also includes GPS tracking on a Vivosmart tracker

CES 2026 is one of the biggest tech events on next year’s calendar, and a leak from Garmin has just revealed what could be one of the company’s biggest announcements at the show, which kicks off on January 6.

news site Garmin rumors has found evidence of an unreleased Vivosmart 6 fitness tracker on Garmin’s Indonesian site. It is said to be the successor to the much-loved Vivosmart 5 and could come with a range of features that would make it even better.

Notably, the leak suggests that the Vivosmart series will have built-in GPS tracking for the first time. This would mean that you no longer have to rely on your phone’s GPS tracking to exercise outdoors, but instead have an easier way to record and track your routes.

With this in mind, Garmin Rumors noted a description on Garmin Indonesia’s website that reads: “(The) Vivosmart 6 is a stylish sports watch that suits both men and women. It has built-in GPS and more than 30 sports apps.

With 30 sports available to track, users should have many more options than the 14 possible with the Vivosmart 5.

No more leaks

Additionally, a page dedicated to the Vivosmart 6 was launched on Garmin’s Swedish site prematurely, reinforcing the idea that a new wearable is on the way.

And an unknown Garmin device with model number A04986 was registered with South Korea’s National Radio Research Agency. It used the “Fitness Product” category carried over from previous Vivosmart devices, instead of the “Smart Watch” used by the Fenix and Forerunner wearables. Given the timing, CES 2026 seems like the logical place to launch the product.

Garmin may have innovated in recent years with its Index sleep monitor and Index S2 smart scale, but its fitness tracker remains a focal point alongside its popular smartwatches, and it looks like we’ll be seeing a new tracker at CES 2026.

While exact pricing and release dates are unknown, it seems clear that Garmin is almost ready to reveal its latest wearable to the world, and when it does, we’ll bring you all the official news.
