Insightly introduces artificial intelligence into its CRM platform

  • Insightly has launched Copilot, an artificial intelligence assistant that automates tasks, cleans data and provides CRM insights
  • The tool aims to increase adoption in sales, marketing and customer success by making CRM usage conversational.
  • The debut follows a broader CRM trend where vendors like Workbooks are attracting more predictive, AI-powered customers.

We can now add Insightly to the growing list of CRM platforms that integrate Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools to help users optimize workflows and get the most out of their CRM.

Earlier this week, Insightly launched Copilot, an AI chatbot that lets users “instantly automate tasks, gain contextual insights and manage customer relationships through simple questions.”

“Most teams only use a fraction of CRM capabilities,” said Steve Oriola, CEO of Insightly. “Copilot changes that by turning Insightly into an assistant that helps you get answers, stay organized, and increase sales without extra clicks or complexity.”

Information generation (allows users to proactively discover key trends, prioritized leads and follow-up opportunities)

Follow the trend

Insightly says its AI chatbot can be used by various departments, including sales, marketing and customer success.

“Copilot enables SMEs to compete like large enterprises,” added Oriola. “It’s an add-on that lets your teams focus on customers and business. Nothing gets lost, forgotten, or buried on the clipboard.”

Less than a week ago, another CRM platform, Workbooks, announced something similar, claiming that the “new era of CRM” had arrived. “AI will define the next generation of customer engagement: more predictive, more personalized and ultimately more profitable,” Workbook’s CEO said at the time.

The same company also claims that 90% of UK business leaders use AI regularly, but only 16% have integrated it into their CRM. Insightly makes a similar claim, saying that recent research shows that only 34% of sales teams are fully utilizing their CRM.
