I also had the opportunity to create custom reports and visualizations without extensive technical knowledge. With CRM’s current Sankey charts, this becomes even more detailed.

They allow you to see exactly where conversions are declining and which marketing channels provide the smoothest path to a sale. Additional analytics tools also provide additional insights into customer behavior, business performance, and overall business health.

SugarCRM offers a mobile app for iOS and Android devices that allows users to access and update data on the go. I found the mobile interface intuitive and responsive, offering most of the basic features of the desktop version.

SugarCRM also stands out for its marketing automation features. The platform provides tools to create and manage marketing campaigns, track their performance, and nurture leads through automated workflows. I was particularly impressed by the email marketing features, which enable personalized and targeted communication based on customer data and behavior.

With SugarPredict 2.0, the CRM goes beyond simple scoring and can now enrich contact files autonomously. For example, when you enter a name and company, SugarCRM’s AI now scans social and public data to populate the profile and apply tags based on current buyer intent signals.

In addition to sales, the system supports customer-facing teams by incorporating case management tools that enable support teams to effectively track and resolve customer issues. There’s even a knowledge base feature that allows companies to create and manage a repository of useful information for customers and internal teams.

For collaboration, activity feeds provide real-time updates on customer interactions and internal communications, ensuring all team members are on the same page. I imagine this would be particularly useful for encouraging cross-functional collaboration and maintaining a consistent customer experience across all touchpoints.

SugarCRM offers many options for customizing CRM to specific business needs, from custom fields and modules to workflow automation. Additionally, SugarCRM’s open API architecture enables seamless integration with a variety of third-party applications, improving adaptability to various business ecosystems.
