Apple caught red-handed: all the secrets of future iPhones revealed!

  • New information leaks about future iPhone models
  • The foldable iPhone could integrate an under-display camera without face ID
  • An iPhone Air 2 also appears to be in the works.

If the rumors are confirmed, Apple will prepare a real renewal of its iPhone range in the coming years, with the launch of a foldable iPhone in mind. A new report provides some details about this model, as well as a possible iPhone Air 2.

This information comes from an analyst report from JP Morgan (distributed by @MaxWinebach), based on supply chain data. Although this type of report does not constitute official confirmation, it is usually based on reliable industry sources.

The foldable iPhone is expected to launch in the second half of 2026. It would not have Face ID, but it would have a 24MP selfie camera under the display. A second 24MP front-facing camera is also expected, likely for the external display.

As for other photography specs, the device is said to have a dual 48MP + 48MP rear sensor, with an ultra-wide-angle lens but no telephoto lens. A fairly simple configuration for an iPhone, but logical given the delicacy that a folding model requires.

There’s something in the air

As for the successor to the iPhone Air, the report suggests that an iPhone Air 2 will see the light of day in 2026, followed by an iPhone Air 3 in 2027. Apple seems to have a lot of confidence in its new ultra-thin model.

However, the industry claims that sales of the iPhone Air – like the iPhone 16 Plus that it replaced in the range – have been quite low, but this should not deter Apple, which would not consider abandoning this version.

The report also specifies that the second and third generation iPhone Air would retain the same single 48MP photo sensor on the back, confirming the limitations of the small size of the case.

Finally, Apple is considering postponing the launch of some iPhone 18 models, as some rumors already suggested: the classic iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e could be postponed until 2027, while the other versions would hit the market as usual in September 2026.
