Enhanced Image and Audio Quality: Meta Rolls Out Version 2.0 for Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses

Meta is introducing Version 2.0 software for its Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses. This update brings notable enhancements in image and audio quality.

For starters, camera performance improves in low-light conditions. Expect sharper images with reduced noise and better auto exposure. Additionally, on-the-go captures will feature enhanced dynamic range and sharpness.

Regarding audio, a new audio master control allows adjusting volume directly from the glasses. With a swipe on the touchpad, control music, voice commands, and other sounds.

The update also promises “Security and stability improvements,” although details are sparse.

Installation takes a few minutes. Without auto-updates, open the Meta View app, navigate to ‘Glass & privacy’, then select ‘Updates’ to install.

Remember to turn on your glasses and connect them via Bluetooth to your phone for a seamless update experience.

Enhanced Image and Audio Quality: Meta Rolls Out Version 2.0 for Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses

Despite the Version 2.0 update’s camera and audio improvements, the Look and Ask AI remains exclusive to US beta users.

This feature, highlighted at Meta Connect 2023, integrates Google Lens-like capabilities with Meta AI. Users prompt it with “Hey Meta, look and…” followed by a query.

Though updates enhance functionality, the absence of promised AI tools leaves the glasses feeling incomplete. Hopefully, Version 3.0 will arrive soon.
