What’s new in this update?

There are some changes to consider in the first quarterly beta, but I’ll only discuss a few key points.

adjust lamp brightness

Google has introduced the ability to adjust the brightness of its flashlight for Android users. This is similar to the way iOS handles this feature. This feature is useful when you need a little light rather than bright light.

Delete the browse widget.

At a Glance widgets extend the Pixel home screen, providing useful information without having to wander around. Weather, calendar updates, Pixel Watch charging notifications, and an easy way to turn the flashlight on and off are just some of the things you can do with the widget. Previously, it was always on the main screen and I couldn’t remove it even if I wanted to.

In QPR3 Beta 1, you can now free up space on your home screen by removing widgets entirely.

Get ready to see apps that make better use of location information.

Google has improved the way it tells you when apps are using your location. Previously, the location icon appeared mixed in with other icons in the top right corner of your phone’s status bar. You will now see a blue notification dot in the top right corner of your screen, making it easy for you to know when your location is being used.
