Google Search AI mode is now available in 35 more languages ​​and 40 more countries

Bengali, Malay, Persian? Check, check, check. Google presented it AI mode for search in 40 other countries and an additional 35 languages, making it accessible to millions of people around the world.

This launch continues the rapid expansion of AI Mode, which launched to US consumers on June 27 and is now available in more than 200 countries and territories.

“The addition of dozens of new languages ​​shows how much more advanced the company’s Gemini AI models have become,” said Hema Budaraju, vice president of product management at Google Search. Tuesday in a blog post.

With Gemini, “people can ask what they think in the way that feels most natural to them, thanks to our understanding of natural language and our multimodal capabilities,” Budaraju wrote. “Now more people can ask any question in their preferred language.”

Budaraju said the AI ​​mode “can really capture the subtleties of local languages” and will be added for other languages ​​and regions soon.

What is AI Mode?

In AI mode, users can answer questions ranging from simple (“When does daylight saving time start?”) to complex (“What was the Great Depression?”). In AI mode, you can use text, photos and speech when asking questions. You can load a panorama image in the AI ​​search mode and ask where the image was taken. You can also get pictures as AI responses, for example by asking the chatbot to “show me pictures of the most beautiful places in Seattle.”

Google has also improved its AI search for shopping, allowing users to ask “Where can I buy cozy winter sweaters?” and get a list of dealers.
