Exit 8 is the next horror video game that will hit theaters on April 10.
Considering what we saw iron lungthe enormous box office success and the supposed premiere of Five nights at Freddy’s 2 On Peacock sometime in 2026, this looks to be a big year for game-to-screen adaptations.
Exit 8 is similar iron lung due to its disturbing setting in one place. Here, instead of being locked in a submarine, the protagonist finds himself in a seemingly endless subway corridor, trying to find exit 8 and get out of the station. Commuting is stressful enough without having to deal with all of that.
I’m sure everyone has their own opinion on the recent influx of video game movies. Personally, I’m delighted to have seen that it is possible to customize a game well, just look the last of us AND fall to see what I mean. If done well, Exit 8 It could definitely be added to my list of good video game movies.

Exit 8 plays with fear of the border area
You may know Backrooms, a terrifying mass in endless mazes with strangely deserted places such as empty hallways, offices, shopping centers or even subway tunnels. These are called border spaces and yes, they scare me too.
Exit 8 It is based on the game of the same name by Kotake Create. The film adaptation is about a man’s escape from the subway and his exit through exit 8. Something that shouldn’t be difficult, but when you’re trapped in one of these strange universes, it is.
As the trailer shows, there are simple rules to follow. If something seems unusual to you, you should turn around and if everything looks good, you should move on. But if you make a mistake, you will be sent back to the beginning.
I can’t wait to see how Exit 8 is adapted to the screen; It has real potential and the trailer looks promising. I keep my fingers crossed.
