What’s new in Fortnite?
Epic Games just released Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1. Unfortunately, this means Fortnite OG, Blitz and Delulu will be offline until the end of December. Battle Royale is available and there are many mods you can try. Now you can come back to life, drive restored vans and even drive damaged vans.
Fortnite OG delighted players when it returned with remastered versions of several classic seasons that changed every week. It proved to be a huge success, with player numbers skyrocketing in the month Fortnite OG was released.
It’s no surprise then that it’s definitely coming back in 2025, and Epic has confirmed that the next Fortnite OG season will start in November.
Fortunately, popular battle royale games benefit from regular updates from the developers, which provide information about future innovations. It has now been confirmed that Fortnite OG will have seasons again. Now that the new season of Fortnite Battaglia Reale has started, the way is clear for OG to return to the limelight.

Fortnite OG Season 7: Release Date
Fortnite OG Season 7 starts on December 11, 2025 at 9:30 AM PST. It’s on the game’s Battle Pass screen, so you can expect the update to roll out a few hours after the outage begins.
Is Fortnite OG offline for chapter 7?
Fortnite OG is currently offline because it was removed from Fortnite just before the release of Chapter 7. We know that Fortnite OG will return on December 11, 2025.

Fortnite OG is now a special mode that evolves and progresses through the Chapter 1 seasons in the same way it did at the end of 2023, but a little more. Chapter 1, Season 2 ended March 25, 2025, Season 3 ended June 8, 2025, and Season 4 ended August 7, 2025. This replicates the pattern of the original version, but adds changes to loot levels and the introduction of new features.

What is Fortnite OG?
Fortnite OG launched in November 2023 and brought back on-demand play starting in 2018. Specifically, it started in Season 5 with the return of Tilted Towers, retro weapon swapping, and several OG skins available for purchase in the store. Each week, Epic Games turned the clock forward to the next season, through Season 6, Season 7/8 and then Season 9/10.
The map has returned to a more classic style, both visually and level-wise. Iconic locations like Frosty Flights have been resurrected, as have old vehicles like the X-4 Stormwing. This lasted until December 2, 2023, when the game’s operations were moved to a new season. Fortnite Since then, OG has not been available in the game, but is expected to return this year.

Above you can see the current OG Fortnite map. It has been lovingly recreated, with every tree, car, trunk and object placed exactly where you remember it. In Zero Construction, ziplines and elevators have been added to facilitate movement. As the seasons go by, so does the menu. With Season 5, you can visit Viking Village, Lazy Links and Paradise Palms.

Here is the current Fortnite OG Season 4 loot:
- Automatic rifle with thermal sight. (Available now!) – Spot your enemies more easily. Also, chests and accessories are highlighted!
- apples (Available now!) – These fruits are equally delicious and useful. They can be picked from the ground and give 5 HP when eaten.
- rocks against gravity (Available Now!) – Get ready to take off! With these meteorite fragments, you can make gravity-defying jumps. That means it won’t last forever, so be careful!
- Shape – No Hallucinations: these mushrooms provide 5 shield points and can mean the difference between a narrow victory and a quick elimination…
- Rebounders – Be active! Whether you want to escape by bouncing or planning an airstrike, you can count on the Rebounder.
- Drum machine gun – Rapid Fire is your ally to dominate quickly. It’s as if the enthusiastic crowd is cheering you on with a drum roll!
- dual weapons – This pair of weapons is powerful… if you’re not afraid to get close.
- backpack reactor – Fly! Aerial photography gives you an advantage over your opponents. But be careful, a fall is fatal if you run out of fuel at high altitude!
- poison bomb – Clear the way with a gas grenade that creates a persistent cloud of noxious fumes. Don’t you like the (bad) smell of victory early in the morning?
Note that while these weapons and items are expected to be added this season, not all of them will be available at launch. Items like the shotgun are added throughout the season. The following weapons are identical to those from the previous season:
