NASTY detailed memory The collection of bags of grated cheese is moving forward due to the possibility that they contain metal fragments. According to a US Food and Drug Administration report, the cheeses were distributed in 31 states and Puerto Rico, and many were sold at popular retailers such as Aldi, Target and Walmart.
The reason for the recall is “possible metal fragments from the supplier’s raw materials”. Great Lakes cheese in Hiram, Ohio, is the company behind the recall.

Great Lakes Cheese said in the press release that “all recalled products have been removed from the market and replaced with new products,” adding that “the products currently on store shelves are safe to consume and are not related to the October recall.” However, you should still check if you have purchased any of the recalled cheeses.

What should you do if your cheese has been recalled?
You can return recalled cheeses to the store where you bought them for a refund.
Regarding the FDA’s release of information about the recall this month, Great Lakes Cheese said, “Although the recall status is marked as pending in the compliance report, our records indicate that all products have been completely removed from store shelves.” All families who have placed October items in the refrigerator or freezer should discard the product or return it to the store where it was purchased for a refund.
