This is the mystery flavor of McDonald’s new Pink and Blue Shake

I tried the McDonaldland menu at my local McDonald’s on August 12th, the day it launched. And I will not say that I have thought about the mysterious taste of her pink and blue Mt since then. McDonaldland shake, because that would sound really weird, but… I’ve thought about it.

When I tried the smoothie, I guessed it might be blue raspberries, maybe cotton candy, maybe berries. It’s sweet but not disgusting, although I would never order it again. (I’m a chocolate fanatic).

But I wanted to know what the mysterious taste was. And now I do it: hard McDonald’s Canada Nutrition Page For the shake, the blue beauty suggests a “blend of creamy vanilla and soft serve ice cream.” Raspberry flavored syrup.” (I tried to confirm this on the American Nutrition site, but it kept looping and never loaded. Keep up the good work, Ronald.)

RASPBERRY! The Mount McDonaldland shake has a raspberry flavor! And it’s blue, so I think it was raspberry blue, exactly! Raspberries are the most popular flavor in fast food today. Starbucks just came back its popular raspberry syrup in late July.

In case you’re wondering what I’m talking about, McDonald’s continues to capitalize on its customers’ love of the company’s silly history. Recently, Happy Meals included McDonald’s-style toys such as beverage machines, deep fryers, and containers of food, presented in small Happy Meal boxes. And the long-awaited packaging is finally back after a viral campaign by fans.

McDonaldland’s food follows the market aimed at nostalgic adults in the Golden Arches. It’s not cheap: Here in Seattle, where the cost of living is high, the average meal costs $16.59 and the large meal costs $18.29.

You can choose between a Quarter Pounder with cheese or a 10-piece McNugget order. Everything is accompanied by the chain’s famous fries and a drink of your choice. But the special drink mixed with the food is called the mysterious Mount McDonaldland Shake and is bright blue and topped with pink whipped cream. It should look like a volcano, with a pink cream that looks like lava I think.

You can also order the shake without food if you just want to try it. If you don’t want to try it, you can also choose a regular drink or a shake with a different flavor at McDonaldland in addition to your meal.

I tried the pink whipped cream on its own and it didn’t seem to have any flavor at all, so maybe they just took the regular whipped cream and dyed it pink.

Instead of just one toy, the McDonaldland meal comes with a 6″ x 7″ box featuring one of the McDonaldland mascots. In the end I chose Hamburglar, which probably would have been my choice after Grimace.

The cans are printed with Hamburglar, Grimace, Ronald McDonald, Mayor McCheese, Birdie the Early Bird and Fry Guys. Honestly, I’m not sure what anyone would do with this box, but it was definitely a higher class item than most Happy Meal toys.

Inside the box is a card with a code that you can scan to explore McDonaldland online, an ID card for your character, two postcards and four stickers. One of my stickers said “Robble Robble,” Hamburglar’s favorite saying, and the other said, “Keep up the good work!” Hamburglar and I are in the middle of a robbery.” I can’t really imagine anyone putting them in their water bottle or laptop, but to each their own.

Honestly, unless McDonald’s nostalgia is your thing, I recommend ordering your regular meal at Golden Arches and skipping the meal. But if you just can’t get enough blue and pink food in your life, then who can? – Try Mt. McDonaldland shake once, spread it so your friends can guess the flavor before smugly giving the big reveal, then go back to chocolate or some other good standard flavor.
