Dreame has just launched the robotic vacuum cleaner that all cleaning enthusiasts dream of

Dreame has been pushing the boundaries of the world of robotic vacuum cleaners for some time now. One of the Robvacs is equipped with small feet that allow it to overcome high thresholds, as well as a retractable navigation disc that allows it to slide under low furniture. During the last launch, the brand focused on improving the construction of the mop. And he did nothing halfway. In NewForTech’s Dreame Matrix10 Ultra review, our tester called it “probably the most advanced hybrid floor cleaner we’ve ever tested.”

Matrix10 uses two rotating mops to clean the floors. Nothing new so far (although this is my favorite style of Robovac mop – in my experience testing today’s best robot vacuums, it tends to give a deeper clean than a D mop and causes fewer nasty problems than a mop… but maybe that’s a separate article). To This The news is that Dreame has decided that a few brushes are not enough.

Dreame found this unacceptable and that is why the Matrix10 Ultra comes with three sets of cleaning wipes. In addition, each pair has a different design to suit a slightly different cleaning task.

One set contains strips of nylon bristles between the softer rings to thoroughly clean particularly dirty floors and remove grease. A set is thicker, more absorbent and suitable for areas where water can seep onto the floor, such as the bathroom. And for everything else there is a versatile set.

Hands-free help

“What should I do?” Do you want to replace cleaning wipes manually? » I hear you ask. No, no, no. Since it’s hands-free, Dreame built him his own mop machine.

The replacement pads slide to the back of the door and a small cart picks up the right kit for the job and delivers it to the robot vacuum’s stall space below. The robot moves back and picks them up using magnetic connections. It’s more of a mop machine or, if you prefer, a jukebox.

However, this is just the beginning. If you need different cloths, why not different cleaning solutions? Here you have three: a multi-functional device, another specific device to combat pet odors and another for parquet floors (which require careful treatment). Again, the docking station does the dosing for you: the three solutions are hidden inside and, when necessary, the machine adds the appropriate solution to the robot’s cleaning container.

Plus, the station continues to clean your cloths by using hot water to remove grease and grime and drying them with hot air, so each set is fresh, clean and ready to use in no time.

Is it necessary? I am on the edge of the abyss. I wouldn’t use a bathroom scrubber to clean kitchen surfaces, but when testing wet and dry vacuums, I like to use the same roll for any floor that needs cleaning.

However, I can see the benefit for those concerned about cross-contamination or for anyone with particularly difficult cleaning needs (for example, let’s say you’re potty training a puppy and he’s still in the “occasionally pees on the floor” stage).

Due to the complexity of the cleaning process, Dreame Matrix10 Ultra is not suitable for everyone. For small landowners this would be excessive; they’d probably have to scrap it anyway because of the doll’s proportions (it’s the size of an under-counter fridge). However, if you have complex cleaning needs, have many rooms with varying hard floors, or even a small commercial space that requires serious robot vacuuming, this could be a game changer.
