Google is preparing to spend $40 billion to expand its data center presence in Texas. Google later expanded its presence in the state by developing another data center in Red Oak, bringing the company’s total investment in Texas to $2.7 billion. According to Google, final investments worth $40 billion will be made by 2027.
Google isn’t the only big tech company developing more artificial intelligence infrastructure in the US. Earlier this year, NVIDIA announced plans to build AI supercomputer factories in Houston and Dallas. Recently, Meta announced that it will invest $600 billion in building AI data centers in the United States, without specifying the states.
