There has been speculation on the Internet that the name “Fit” implies that it will be the first Garmin heart rate monitor that can be worn around the arm, like some of its competitors, and not just around the chest; however, this is pure speculation.
Garmin heart rate monitors offer some of the same running metrics as their best watches, so if you don’t want to pay for an expensive smartwatch, you can still get workout insights.
They can be paired with a Garmin watch to increase accuracy and produce additional metrics like running power. Additionally, Garmin heart rate monitors are waterproof to 5 ATM, making them ideal for triathlon training.
