Anker has introduced a new version of its popular Soundcore Boom speaker. The Soundcore Boom 3i is designed for outdoor fun, with powerful bass and a few clever features—including one inspired by the Apple Watch.

Built for Water Adventures
The Boom 3i is made to float. Even in choppy water, it stays upright with the speaker grille facing up. Anker promises “no distortion, no sinking—just loud, clear audio” for kayaking, pool parties, and other water activities.
It’s also highly resistant to saltwater and has been drop-tested from 1 meter. While it’s not confirmed to be shark-proof, it does include a 96dB emergency alarm. This can help you signal for assistance if you’re lost or in danger.
You can even use the speaker as a megaphone to project your voice, whether you’re calling for help or just trying to be heard across the beach.
Smart Cleaning with Buzz Clean
One standout feature is Buzz Clean. Like the Apple Watch ejects water, the Boom 3i uses vibrations to shake off dry sand. If that’s not enough, you can rinse it under a tap or dunk it in water—thanks to its strong water resistance.
Sound and Light Performance
The speaker delivers 50W of power with bass that reaches down to 56Hz. It also features rhythm-synced lights to add visual flair to your music.
Battery life is rated at 16 hours, making it a solid choice for all-day outings.
A Fun Upgrade
We liked the previous Boom 2 for its punchy sound and lightweight design. The Boom 3i builds on that with smarter features and better durability, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who want more than just music.
Pricing and Availability
The Soundcore Boom 3i is currently available in Canada for CA$189 (about $138 / £101 / AU$212). Global pricing and release dates haven’t been announced yet.
