Discover the latest on upcoming iPads: rumored release dates, expected features, and insights into Apple's next-generation tablet plans.

Recent findings on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website hint at upcoming iPads, signaled by new model numbers: A2836 and A2837. These model numbers correspond to iPads, although the specific models they represent remain uncertain. However, based on circulating rumors, it’s highly probable that we’ll witness the unveiling of new iPad Pro models and an updated iPad Air (presumably the iPad Air 6). Additionally, rumors suggest the arrival of a new 12.9-inch iPad Air, anticipated for release next month.

Initially, expectations pointed towards a launch in March or April. However, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, a trusted source for Apple-related insights, the release is now rumored to take place in May.

Regarding the anticipated features of these new iPads, predictions indicate that the iPad Pro models may transition from the current mini-LED and LCDs to OLED panels, promising improved contrast and color reproduction. Furthermore, it’s anticipated that the iPad Pros will be equipped with Apple‘s latest M3 chips, accompanied by a redesigned Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil.

For the iPad Air, we can anticipate upgrades in terms of chipsets, potentially including the M3 chip, along with possible minor design refinements. Notably, the larger 12.9-inch iPad Air could appeal to users seeking a larger iPad experience without the hefty price tag of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. This larger iPad Air, coupled with potentially enhanced accessories, could cater to users who require a larger screen for tasks such as pseudo-laptop usage with a Magic Keyboard.

Unfortunately, there’s no indication of an iPad mini 7, signaling a potential discontinuation of the smallest iPad model. This trend aligns with the increasing popularity of larger-screen and foldable smartphones, diminishing the demand for smaller tablets.

As for Apple’s plans for its next-generation iPads, only time will reveal the full extent. However, for those needing a Cupertino-designed tablet immediately, there’s a variety of excellent iPad options available for purchase today.
