Anticipation Builds: Motorola Set to Unveil Trio of Edge Phones, Including Return of Ultra Variant

Unveiling the Latest Innovations in Motorola's Edge Series

We’re eagerly awaiting the next generation of Motorola Edge phones, and it seems like there will be three models hitting the shelves this time – including the return of the Ultra variant, which was absent last year.

According to reports from Android Headlines, leaked images and key specs have surfaced. The lineup may include the Edge 50 Ultra, alongside the Edge 50 Fusion and the Edge 50 Pro. The Edge 50 Ultra is anticipated to be the top-tier option, boasting the most power and likely carrying a higher price tag, potentially fueled by the newly revealed Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor.

However, there’s been some confusion swirling around whether the Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Ultra are essentially the same device. Motorola’s tendency to launch different variants in different regions, sometimes under different names, only adds to the puzzle.

Previously, leaks have given us glimpses of the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, hinting at a slightly modified design and suggesting a 6.7-inch screen with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.

The leaked images reveal a triple-lens rear camera setup for the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, reportedly featuring a periscope zoom lens providing 5x optical zoom. These lenses are rumored to boast a 50-megapixel resolution.

In terms of colors, three options are mentioned: a classic Black, a Sisai hue described as a light beige, and a Peach Fuzz shade, coincidentally the Pantone Color of the Year. We’ve seen this color on previous Motorola devices as well.

Motorola has announced something big coming on April 3, so we won’t have to wait long to see these new phones. However, sorting out their global availability and potential name variations (remember the Edge 30 Ultra was also called the Edge X in certain markets) might take a bit more time.
