Mark your calendars for November 10, 2023 – that’s when Modern Warfare 3 arrives. This date follows the pattern of Call of Duty releases, with last year’s Modern Warfare 2 launching just two weeks prior, in the same timeframe. Competition isn’t a major concern for Call of Duty, given its reputation as a top seller every year.

When the game drops, you can enjoy it on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox One.

Modern Warfare 3 (2023) Story and Settings

Modern Warfare 3 promises a darker narrative than its predecessor. The prior game’s ending teased what’s next, centering on Makarov. Remember, Makarov was the mastermind in the original Modern Warfare (Call of Duty 4). He also left his mark with the infamous ‘No Russian’ mission in a later installment. This mission even got a nod in 2022’s Modern Warfare 2 after-credits scene.

Makarov is back in Modern Warfare 3’s teaser. Price’s voice warns, ‘Never bury your enemies alive.’ What we know is this: the team targets Makarov, but specifics are still under wraps. Expect a continuation from the last game, and there’s a chance we might see classic Modern Warfare 3 scenes recreated from the original. Keep in mind, the timeline’s rebooted, so Price and the crew face anything.

Talking about the gameplay, Modern Warfare 3 is tweaking movement and HUD. Firstly, the classic mini-map returns with red dot indicators for foes. Map voting is in, plus initial Perks for each match. Time to kill rises to 150 core health, aligning with older games for a noticeable shift.

The movement sees changes – slide canceling’s back, without Tactical Sprint reset. Reload animations interrupt for last-resort firing. Tactical Sprint lasts longer and recharges mid-sprint.

The campaign comprises story missions, continuing Price’s tale. Open Combat Missions offer choices in approach. A recent blog post on the official Modern Warfare 3 site explains:

“For instance, if stealth’s your style, choose an OCM for a covert lights-out op. Or gear up, go bold, and tackle targets upfront with a blast!
