With the launch of Apple’s 2024 flagship phone, the iPhone 16, closing in, we see more and more leaks and rumors. One of the most recent pieces of information shared was regarding the battery capacities for both the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models.

Battery Capacity Insights

A famous tipster, Instant Digital, claims that the iPhone 16 Pro may come with a 3,577mAh battery. Its elder sibling, the iPhone 16 Pro Max, is said to feature a 4,676mAh battery. Comparatively, both batteries are quite significant upgrades over the current iPhone 15 series, in which the iPhone 15 Pro comes with a 3,274mAh battery and the iPhone 15 Pro Max arrives with a 4,422mAh capacity.

With the battery size increased, especially in the case of the Pro model, it’s easy to predict that users will see better battery performance. However, since the company is still working on the final touches of the phones, these capacities could still change before the official release.

Possible Effect on Battery Life

These higher capacities beg the question of how they impact battery life, more so because the screen sizes are rumored to increase on the iPhone 16 series. The Pro will have a 6.3-inch screen and the Pro Max a 6.9-inch one. Larger screens are guaranteed to guzzle more power, offsetting some of the benefits from larger batteries.

Noticeably, even the current iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models could not do more than a full day with general use, which was mentioned as of late in recent reviews. For this new set, likely, most people will likely still charge them overnight.

Launch Forthcoming

Apple typically updates their iPhones in September, but there is no mention of such an event in the works for this year. Another update we could expect to hear about apart from the iPhone 16 series would be the Apple Watch 10 and Apple Watch Ultra 3.

Stay tuned for more updates as the launch gets closer, and do not miss how such changes will help to make your overall iPhone experience better.
