New Samsung Galaxy A-series phones might be on the way, as Evan Blass shared official renders on X (formerly Twitter) of the Samsung Galaxy A55 and A35. These renders offer a good look at both the front and back, showcasing four color options: Black, Green, Pink, and White. Reactions to these images have been mixed.
Both the Galaxy A55 and A35 now feature the “Key Island” design introduced last year with the Galaxy A25 and A15, which emphasizes the power and volume keys with raised edges. The A35 seems to have upgraded its design, replacing the U-shape notch with a modern punch-hole camera cutout.
A noteworthy upgrade for the Galaxy A55 could be an aluminum frame, a step up from the previous model’s plastic build. However, it might just be plastic with a metal-effect finish. The A35 is likely to retain a plastic frame like its predecessor.
Both designs exhibit noticeable bezels, particularly a larger bottom chin, which is typical for mid-range phones. However, some budget and mid-range competitors have managed to slim down their bezels, leading to criticism of the new design’s thickness.
Though not confirmed in the renders, leaks suggest the Galaxy A55 might be larger than the A54, potentially indicating a move towards a more premium phone category.
One render depicts water splashes in the background, hinting at a similar or improved IP67 resistance rating compared to previous models.
If Evan’s leaks are accurate, Samsung seems to be moving towards a more consistent design language across its Galaxy S and Galaxy A lineups.
