Samsung just shared its Q2 earnings report and had an earnings call where top company executives revealed exciting upgrades for the upcoming Galaxy S25 series. According to Daniel Araujo, the vice president of Samsung MX, improvements in the camera, display, and AI are noted.

Camera and Display Enhancements
It is said that the Galaxy S25 series will come with increased camera and display capabilities. This means that in contrast to the S24 Ultra cameras, which were 10MP and 12MP, the S25 Ultra will feature a 50MP 3x camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. Added to these improvements will be the new 50MP 5x periscope camera, which will give users an ultimate photography experience.

Advanced Application Processors
Samsung is preparing the industry’s best application processors against the Galaxy S25 series. While some units will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, others might be fitted with the Exynos 2500, depending on how the production yield goes. Further, there are even rumors of some units being powered by MediaTek chipsets. The S25 Ultra is expected to have 16GB of RAM, although it is not clear if this would apply across the board.

Display Improvements
The small Galaxy S25 might come with a 6.36″ display, an upgrade from the previous two generations with a 6.2″ and 6.1″ display, respectively. This also makes some people wish that at least the vanilla and models will be treated to the S24 Ultra’s Gorilla Glass Armor, which drastically cuts down on the reflections.

Expanding the Galaxy AI Ecosystem
It is developing the Galaxy AI ecosystem beyond smartphones to smartwatches, earbuds, the Galaxy Ring, tablets, and finally, Galaxy Books. On top of this, the hybrid AI system will be attuned to on-device AI to deliver fast and stable usability and cloud AI for high-quality results; this will ensure strong security and protection of customer data through Knox.
