Sling Orange: what is it, how much does it cost and what’s available to watch?

Sling Orange

Sling TV is a streaming service that caters to people looking for a way to lower their cable bill. With two different options that offer different chain ranges, there’s something for everyone. Sling Orange is the Sports and Family range. It offers 6 exclusive channels, with favorites like ESPN, The Disney Channel, and Freeform.

Including live sports channels and children’s channels like Disney Channel, there is also a heavy dose of entertainment with Freeform. Below, we’ve detailed what you’ll get from a Sling Orange package: the plan-exclusive channels as well as the full lineup, plus the exciting extras available to liven up your streaming experience.

Sling Orange explained: what is the plan and how does it differ from the Blue plan?

Sling TV Orange consists of 31 channels from the Sling TV channel list. It includes three ESPN channels, MotorTrend, Disney Channel, and Freeform, describing itself as the perfect package for NBA coverage and families, while Sling Blue is designed for those who want more entertainment and news.

ESPN covers everything from football and boxing to basketball, tennis, and golf, while car enthusiasts can enjoy Top Gear and more on MotorTrend.

There are loads of kid-friendly programs courtesy of the Disney Channel. Meanwhile, Freeform has even more movies and TV shows aimed at families — for example, The Lion King, Grown-ish, and 10 Things I Hate About You — but more adult in nature and rated PG.

The only other disparity between Sling Orange and Blue is the number of devices subscribers can stream on each. An Orange Sling TV plan allows one user to tune in and watch content at once, while Blue allows you up to three simultaneous streams.

How much does Sling Orange cost?

A Sling Orange subscription costs $40 per month, making it an incredibly affordable option over IPTV platforms like Hulu with Live TV and FuboTV. Currently, you can also save 50% on your first month thanks to one of the best streaming offers available.

Not only do you get an attractive bundle of live channels and VOD content, but 50 hours of DVR storage is added for free – which pretty much makes up for Sling TV’s lack of a free trial right now. It’s perfect for recording the last football game or that explosive TV season finale. There’s also no long-term contract – unlike cable – so you can cancel your subscription at any time.
