Durabook has enhanced its Z14I rugged laptop, featuring Intel Core Ultra 5 and 7 processors and an optional Nvidia RTX A500 GPU.
Available for purchase on the Durabook website, this upgraded model is designed for demanding AI applications across various industries, including architecture, engineering, public safety, military, and construction.
Durabook highlights its suitability for tasks such as building design, crime scene analysis, and factory floor virtual assistance.
Nano SIM and eSIM
Designed for harsh conditions, the Z14I is certified with IP66 and MIL-STD-810H standards, ensuring resistance to drops, shocks, vibrations, rain, dust, salt fog, altitude, freeze/thaw cycles, humidity, explosive atmospheres, and extreme temperatures. Its Coolfinity fanless cooling system enhances reliability and extends battery life up to 21.5 hours with dual batteries, which can be hot-swapped in the field.
The Z14I’s security features include a smart card reader, RFID/NFC reader, fingerprint scanner, and a 5MP infrared camera with a shutter for Windows Hello facial recognition. It supports up to three storage drives: two quick-release NVMe PCIe SSDs and a SATA SSD, enabling RAID 0 and RAID 1 configurations. An expansion box allows for additional PCIe interfaces or storage options.
Connectivity options on the Z14I include two Thunderbolt 4 ports, Intel Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, dual SIM (Nano SIM and eSIM), optional 4G LTE or 5G, USB 3.2 and USB 2.0 Type-A ports, two RJ-45 ports, two serial ports, HDMI, VGA, and ExpressCard 54. Optional dedicated GPS is available for location tracking.
The 14-inch Full HD DynaVue display delivers up to 1,200 nits of brightness for visibility in direct sunlight. Its 10-point capacitive multi-touch panel supports four touch modes for various conditions.
