Samsung is gearing up to unveil its 2024 TVs at the CES show in early January 2024. Despite the official regulatory filings in Korea, key details about several models have already surfaced. Notably, the next-gen premium QD-OLED TV, the Samsung 95D, and the successor to the Samsung S90C, the Samsung S90D, have been highlighted.
According to DisplaySpecifications, the flagship S95D will hit the market in three sizes across the US and Europe: 55, 65, and 77 inches. Although additional specifics are yet to be revealed, expectations include a pricing structure similar to the current S95C range, featuring a remarkably bright panel, a 144Hz refresh rate, and four HDMI 2.1 ports. Correspondingly, the S90D is set to be available in 55, 65, and 77-inch sizes.
While we hold the current Samsung range in high regard, there’s always room for improvement. As we anticipate the launch of the Samsung S90D, let’s explore what enhancements we hope to witness in this upcoming model.
Samsung Unveils Robust 2024 TV Lineup
Samsung is set to roll out an extensive lineup in 2024, offering all consumers QLED and Neo QLED TVs.
In addition to the highly anticipated S95D and S90D QD-OLED TVs, Samsung has filed various Neo QLED models, spanning 4K and 8K. Among the 4K offerings are the QN85D, QN90D, and QN95D, all boasting 4K VA panels, mini-LED backlighting, and 120Hz refresh rates. These TVs are projected to come in sizes ranging from 55 to 85 inches, with a potential 98-inch variant. The 2024 range extends to the QN800D 8K TV, available in 65-inch, 75-inch, and 85-inch sizes.
Beyond QLED, Samsung is introducing three new OLED ranges: the Q70D, Q75D, and Q80D, covering sizes from 55 to 85 inches, with an additional 85 and 98-inch versions for the Q80D.
Completing the lineup are the DU8000 and DU8500 crystal UHD 4K TVs, spanning 43 to 75 inches. These TVs, expected to feature IPS or VA LCD panels with edge backlighting, maintain the budget-friendly pricing characteristic of the current crystal UHD range. For instance, the CU8000 is priced at $349 for the 43-inch model, with the 85-inch version at $1,199.
