AirPods aren’t just for Apple devices. They’re compatible with any Bluetooth device, including Samsung’s Galaxy phones, tablets, and top-notch TVs.
If you know how to connect AirPods to Android devices, the process is similar for Samsung products. The same steps apply to Samsung TVs too.
However, some Apple-specific features like Siri support, in-ear detection, auto-switching, spatial audio, Find My, and custom sound modes won’t be available. But, they still serve as efficient headphones.
How to pair AirPods with Samsung devices?
Access the Settings menu on your device > Navigate to the audio or connectivity settings > Initiate pairing mode on your AirPods > Finally, select and pair your AirPods.
Connecting AirPods to a Samsung phone or tablet is straightforward.
The steps might differ based on the model, but the general process remains the same. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled in your device’s settings. If your AirPods aren’t visible under available devices, activate pairing mode by holding down the button on the AirPods case until they flash white. Then, select your AirPods to pair them with your Samsung device.
Pairing AirPods with a Samsung TV follows a similar process.
If you’re unsure whether your TV supports Bluetooth, check under ‘Sound’ and then ‘Sound Output’ in the Settings menu. If ‘Bluetooth Speaker List’ is visible, your TV is compatible. If your AirPods aren’t listed, activate pairing mode. Then, select your AirPods and click ‘Pair and connect’.
While AirPods offer the best experience with Apple devices, they work well with Samsung devices too. For instance, Samsung supports next-gen Bluetooth connectivity, a feature not yet available on AirPods. This was introduced in a software update last year, bringing Auracast tech to Samsung’s latest TVs and earbuds. As of now, AirPods don’t support Auracast, but this might change in the future. Nevertheless, AirPods remain effective headphones for Samsung devices.
