- The S26 Ultra could have a battery with a capacity of 5,200 mAh
- This would be a slight increase over the 2025 model.
- An earlier leak indicated that the battery capacity would remain the same.
As 2026 approaches, we’re learning more and more about what to expect from the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, with the latest rumors pointing to an expansion of battery capacity for the more expensive Ultra model.
According to an expert informant Now digital (Above GSMArene), the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra launches with a battery capacity of 5,200 mAh, a modest increase over the 5,000 mAh battery in the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
In fact, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra was the sixth Ultra phone in a row with the same 5,000mAh battery capacity, ahead of the Galaxy S20 Ultra 2020. The supposed increase isn’t huge, but at least it’s something.
There are already several rumors about the battery specifications of the Galaxy S26 series, according to which the standard model will also receive a small capacity increase next year: from 4,000 mAh for the current phone to 4,300 mAh for the next one.
Even better battery life

What this actually means for battery life remains to be seen, but in theory it should mean more time between charges. Of course, several factors play a role, including the efficiency of the screen and other components.
In our Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra review, we talked about its battery lasting several days between charges, while Samsung’s official review says you can get 31 hours of video playback on a single charge.
What we have also heard about the Ultra model is that the screen bezels will be even smaller, which would mean a larger screen size. We see a screen of almost 7 inches from corner to corner.
But as is always the case with these rumors, nothing will be confirmed until Samsung makes them official, which is expected to happen in the first two or three months of 2026. An earlier leak from August suggested that the Ultra’s battery capacity would once again remain at 5,000 mAh.
