The iPhone Fold can be extremely expensive

  • The foldable iphone could cost $2,399
  • This is one of the highest prices we have ever heard.
  • It should also be wrinkle-free and is expected to hit the market in 2026.

The foldable iPhone is basically guaranteed to be expensive, but the latest price rumors suggest that it could cost even more than some previous rumors suggested.

That’s why Find the Fubon (Above MacRumors), the foldable iPhone is expected to cost $2,399 (around £1,830 / AU$3,720). While that’s slightly lower than the forecast that put the price at $2,500 (about £1,905 / AU$3,875), it’s much higher than recent rumors that put the price between $1,800 and $2,000 (about £1,370 – £1,525 / $3,100 3,100 yuan, about $1.10 AUD) or about $0 1.10 Australian. $3,875 / $1,610 / $3,270.

So this is a worrying price prediction, but it may turn out to be correct as Fubon Research arrived at this figure through supply chain analysis, taking into account apple’s margin needs.

But if that’s really the price of the foldable iPhone, then it could be a tough sell and, frankly, you’re better off buying a non-folding iPhone and the ipad mini 8 (expected to launch next year).

This combination can cost less than the foldable iPhone (depending on which iPhone model you choose) and you still get two screen sizes. So it will be interesting to see if the foldable iPhone really costs that much and if many people will buy it if it does.

But there is more positive news: ext (Above MacRumors It (again) echoes earlier rumors that the foldable iPhone could be the first foldable phone with a crease-free design, which could justify the price to some extent.

The site also reports that the foldable iPhone will be called “iPhone Fold” and is on track to launch in 2026, after entering the technical validation and pre-production phase of its development. So if you’re willing to spend $2,400 on a phone, you might be able to do so soon.
