According to my review, the OnePlus 15 is a perfect phone and I couldn’t ask for more. It exceeded my highest expectations in key areas such as screen quality, battery life, and overall performance. Of course, some phones perform better in one or two specific areas, but not all.
The Galaxy S26 still won’t be Samsung’s best phone. Even if that happens, no one will buy the Galaxy S26 Ultra. However, the Galaxy S26 Ultra could be a perfect phone with a 5/5 rating.
Technological radar networkSo in its pursuit of excellence, Samsung shouldn’t just focus on copying what OnePlus does best. Because Samsung does it very well.
The OnePlus 15 focuses on durability and battery life.
OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 15 are the most mainstream (i.e. not manufactured or military) smartphones you can buy.
It can also withstand hot water splashes when using the dishwasher. Samsung phones are almost as durable, but the extra effort helps make up for the difference in design results.
The Samsung phone may not be as reliable as the OnePlus 15, but it is one of the most reliable devices you can buy. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is waterproof and can even submerge the S Pen in water, so even if the S Pen is submerged in water, it won’t be a problem. The Ultra is not dishwasher safe (probably), but I wouldn’t clean my phone that way.
Battery life will be a bigger challenge for Samsung because OnePlus uses a new solid-state battery technology that most major phone makers have ignored until now. In Future Labs tests, Samsung phones had better battery life, but the OnePlus 15’s screen lasted longer.
OnePlus may be the king of battery life, but Samsung is far behind and the Galaxy S25 Ultra really impressed us with its battery life. The latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipsets (as well as the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5) have proven to be incredibly efficient.
In our low-power test, the Galaxy S25 Ultra lasted more than 18.5 hours. That’s more than the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max and almost all Android smartphones available today.
While that’s not as impressive as the OnePlus 15’s 26.5 hours of screen time, it still comes in second place. This is enough to use the smartphone for more than a full day.
price one plus 15 many Faster than any Samsung phone. With 80W wired charging and incredible 50W wireless charging, the Galaxy S25 can keep you company for hours before bed, while the OnePlus 15 is ready for the next day. If Samsung wants to match the battery performance of the OnePlus 15, it will have to charge it faster than any previous Samsung smartphone.
Samsung is always looking for areas of improvement
Beyond durability and battery life, what improvements could Samsung make? First, the design of the Galaxy S25 looks a little dated.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra looks more like the latest Galaxy Note than any new smartphone. I expect all Galaxy S26 phones to receive major design updates.
Samsung needs to make more serious improvements to its software. Samsung’s current OneUI software has a checkered history. The phone comes with many features.
This means you get great tools like Samsung DeX. Adding a screen and keyboard makes your phone’s interface more like a mobile laptop.
Get the best multitasking software and a variety of useful productivity tools. Apps can float to the top, stick to the sides, disappear in bubbles, or float on top of something.
It also means that Samsung phones can be difficult to navigate. Other features may be hidden, hidden in submenus, or even difficult to find. Top apps have duplicate versions from Samsung for no reason.
Samsung phones come with two web browsers, two photo gallery apps, and two app stores. For crying out loud! This is a very large number.
Samsung will have to sacrifice some ambition in exchange for ease of use. By focusing on developing hardware for future generations and announcing an end to software bloat that will cut features in half, Samsung still We build phones with more features than you can imagine.
Samsung can make a phone as perfect as OnePlus, but OnePlus can’t do better than this. In fact, it’s better in many ways. Now I need to limit my efforts and hone my skills.
The perfect phone is already hidden in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. I wish Samsung would take shortcuts and stick to just my favorite pieces.
