LOGITECH G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 LIGHTSPEED: A QUICK OVERVIEW
The Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 Lightspeed, while its name may be a mouthful, effortlessly enhances the user experience. Logitech G took an already fantastic gaming mouse and refined it across various aspects, such as weight, charging port, and sensor, while retaining its beloved features.
This mouse’s accolades extend beyond its remarkable lightweight design, shedding 3g compared to its predecessor. It impresses with its speed and durability, embodying a minimalist aesthetic that complements any setup, irrespective of your preference for flashy RGB lighting.
As the name suggests, it’s a wireless gaming mouse employing Logitech’s Lightspeed technology for a cable-free gaming experience.
If you find the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 Lightspeed quite similar to its predecessor, that’s because Logitech G maintained its simple, minimalist design – a wise choice. The mouse retains the same USB receiver garage at the base, offering safety for the USB receiver through a magnetic door. It boasts five buttons, a smooth matte shell, and an ergonomic form suitable for both claw and palm grips.
While the smooth finish might not appeal to everyone, Logitech G provides adhesive grips as alternatives. The placement of all five buttons ensures comfort during extended gaming sessions.
One drawback is the absence of the Powercore module for wireless charging, although you can replace the magnetic garage door for it. Those with Logitech’s Powerplay wireless charging system are in luck, while others will need to invest more for this convenience, adding to the mouse’s already high cost.
However, there are some design enhancements, including the introduction of a USB-C charging port, replacing the outdated micro USB port. The mouse’s weight has been reduced from 63g to 60g. Additionally, it comes in black, white, and a new pink color option for those seeking a departure from neutral shades.
The Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 Lightspeed excels in performance due to its 2,000Hz polling rate and a new HERO 2 sensor, offering up to 32,000 DPI (an increase from 1,000Hz and 25,600 DPI). While these figures may exceed the requirements of most gamers, they future-proof the mouse, ensuring it can handle fast-paced, enemy-packed games like CS:GO and Doom Eternal.
There are a couple of minor drawbacks, though. The zero-additive PTFE mouse feet, while providing excellent maneuverability on certain surfaces, do not glide smoothly on others. They feel fiddly on bare desks. The mouse’s lower arch may not provide sufficient support for palm grips, leading to wrist fatigue during extended use.
However, the mouse makes up for these issues with its exceptional battery life. Offering up to 95 hours of usage on a single charge, it can last nearly two weeks of daily eight-hour gaming sessions. During my two-week testing period, I didn’t need to recharge it even once.

These enhancements come at a cost. The Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 Lightspeed is slightly pricier than its predecessor at $159 / £149 / AU$299.
