There have been many rumors about the possible launch of the NVIDIA RTX 4070 Founders Edition, and now some new images of the graphics card have been leaked.
If you are images, shared by VideoCardz, they’re real, this is the best look we’ve had with the RTX 4070 so far, and it gives us a good idea of its design. In response to the original post by Twitter user VideoCardz David Giannis also shared some images of the expected GPU.
The RTX 4070 appears to have a short V-shaped PCB, meaning the second fan is exposed on both sides. As for the material, it appears to have a metallic edge, which means that aesthetically it falls somewhere between cheaper graphics cards and premium ones, which are of higher quality. The card is also said to allow you to connect up to four displays with one HDMI 2.1 connector or three DisplayPort 1.4 connectors.
As it turns out, the RTX 4070 FE will go on sale on April 13 at an MSRP of $599, which is around €549 per exchange. Of course, it’s not as easy as converting the amount into euros, since everything is cheaper in the US. Either way, the RTX 4070 Ti launched there for $799, so we’re talking $200 less. In Spain, the RTX 4070 Ti launched for around €949, so perhaps the price in our country for the 4070 is around €749. We’d be looking at a great mid-range option for gamers (although we’re still talking about a lot of money).
This generation of graphics cards boasts the best GPUs we’ve seen to date. However, the price of these high-end cards is very steep: the RTX 4090 costs a hefty €1,959 and the 4080 follows closely with a price tag of €1,469.
We ran out of more affordable options for several months, which is a mistake on the company’s part considering 3000-series graphics cards were out of reach for most gamers due to cryptocurrency mining. But if these RTX 4070 rumors are correct, we will see a release soon.
In addition to the RTX 4070 Founders Edition, the 4060 is also rumored to be on the way, according to a leaked image from March 2023. While it’s unknown when it will go on sale, nor its price, considering the case appears to be plastic, we can imagine that its price will be in the range of “cheap” cards.
We hope to have cheaper graphics cards if NVIDIA lives up to the hype. For now, we’ll have to wait for an official announcement to find out whether or not we can believe these latest rumors.
