The iPhone 16 Pro will receive two other major improvements over the iPhone 15 Pro

Apple is set to unveil the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max in just a few weeks, but that hasn’t stopped the smart ones from sharing new information about next year’s iPhone 16 lineup.

The latest rumor comes from respected tech analyst Jeff Pu (second 9to5Mac), who claims that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will come with a 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera and Wi-Fi 7 support.

The first update would be a big improvement over the 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera currently used in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, and this sensor is also expected to return to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The ultra-wide setup on Apple’s best current iPhones isn’t bad, far from it: the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max take wide-angle photos that are always bright and vibrant. However, this purported 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens on the iPhone 16 Pro is supposed to capture much more light, resulting in even more impressive low-light photos.

In fact, as 9to5Mac points out, both the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max already have a 48MP primary camera that uses “pixel binning” technology to merge data from four pixels into one “super pixel” to greater clarity. light image capture and this tech will presumably make its way to the iPhone 16 Pro’s 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens.

On the other hand, the rationale behind Wi-Fi 7 support on the iPhone 16 Pro is self-evident. The Wi-Fi 7 standard offers faster speeds, lower latency, and more reliable connectivity to compatible devices, thanks to its ability to send and receive data simultaneously on the 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands.

iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max support Wi-Fi 6, while iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are expected to feature Wi-Fi 6E support, which is already available on several Apple devices, such as the iPad Pro: 12.9 (2022) and the 14-inch MacBook Pro (2023).

By the way, the Wi-Fi 7 standard isn’t expected to roll out until September next year, the same month that Apple will likely launch the iPhone 16 line, so there’s a chance the iPhone 16 Pro will arrive too soon. supports Wi-Fi 7 at launch.

As for the other iPhone 16 rumors we’ve already heard, the iPhone 16 Pro would use a new format, while the standard iPhone 16 may be stealing a key design feature from the iPhone 12.

For now, however, we are focused on the imminent launch of the iPhone 15. To check the latest news on the next Apple terminals, take a look at the links below.
