When is Fortnite OG Coming Back?

Fortnite OG will finally make its highly-anticipated return this 2024. Just recently, the post from the end of last year has just confirmed the revival of this much-anticipated fan-favorite version. Although a specific date hasn’t been announced, updates are very close. Keep a sharp lookout for more updates from the Fortnite Status Twitter account.

What is Fortnite OG?

Fortnite OG, available since November 2023, enabled players to travel in time to the 2018 map of the game. Beginning with Season 5, it returned to Tilted Towers and other legendary places, as well as classic weapons. The game moved on week by week through the subsequent seasons and went through Seasons 6, 7/8, and 9/10. The map and style of gameplay resembled that during the early days of Fortnite, along with the inclusion of locations such as Frosty Flights and vehicles like the X-4 Stormwing. Well, this was a nostalgic ride until December 2, 2023, and was not live since then.

What We Want to See in Fortnite OG Season 2

Though there isn’t any official word yet on what the new Fortnite OG will comprise of, hopes are pretty high among fans. Many wish for a rotation of different classic seasons, largely retaining the feel of 2018/19. A lot is being brought back; specifically, the revival of Season 5 is focused on Tilted Towers.

This time, however, a long-term duration is infused with a bigger hope. The overwhelming response from players during the initial release showed that there was a good demand for a classic Fortnite experience. Ideally, Fortnite OG could turn into a permanent mode in which players could play the nostalgic gameplay alongside new seasons. This might split the player base, so it stays to be seen how Epic Games is going to handle the return.

There’s more coming, as Epic Games goes on to share more about Fortnite OG’s comeback.
