New A24 film eternity redefined the 1920s romantic comedy and broke hearts in the process. Deep down, Joan (Elizabeth Olsen) must decide whether she wants to spend her afterlife with her first husband, Luke (Callum Turner), who died in the Korean War, or with her second husband, Larry (Miles Teller), with whom she spent 65 years.
If you think you can guess the ending, I guarantee you can’t (and to be honest, I disagree). But since the movie is filled with tons of Easter eggs and cultural references, you’ll remember something while watching.

“I think that would be one of my biggest audio references the apartment “Billy Wilder,” he told me. “So I would say that, but I’m actually saying that now and I don’t know if I want to be compared to him right away.”
In any case, it’s a phenomenal choice. Along with Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine, CC Baxter (Lemmon) prepares his apartment so that his colleagues can conduct business outside the family business. He quickly falls in love with elevator operator Fran (MacLaine), which complicates his relationships and work arrangements.
Given the number of complex novels and extraordinary shows the apartmentI understand why Freyne chose this. Honestly, it’s a movie that any director wishes was half as good, and as a viewer, you’re in a new mood every time you watch it.

Since distributor Focus Features is owned by Universal, this is most likely the case. The port will debut on the Peacock next year. Nothing is confirmed yet though… which is even better because I can’t handle all these emotions in one day.
In my opinion, it is the perfect dual programming with Eternity. The Truman Show. Different results, but both are built in versions of a place that doesn’t actually exist, including artificial skies.
Fortunately, US fans can find The Truman Show and The Apartment on all the streaming sites mentioned above, while UK fans will need Prime Video and Australian fans can turn to Paramount+.
