Sony has confirmed over 65 suits in Spider-Man 2 for PS5 during the lengthy story mode.
Spider-Man 2, a highly anticipated game for superhero fans, gains momentum as Insomniac Games’ sequel. Revealed at September’s State of Play event and detailed in a PlayStation Blog post, it offers a wealth of unlockable suits, meeting the desires of seasoned Spider-Man fans.
Aaron Espinoza, Advanced Senior Community Manager at Insomniac Games, states, “Featuring 65 suits, including new designs and fan favorites from films and comics, players can equip a wide range of costumes in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.” Additionally, “Suit Styles,” a new feature, unlocks color shaders for select suits, offering over 200 outfit possibilities for your Spider-hero.
A Spider-Man 2 Digital Deluxe trailer showcases 10 new suits, with five for Peter Parker and five for Miles Morales. “To bring these 10 suits to life, we collaborated with various artists from comics, games, and films, gaining insight into their designs,” explains Espinoza. In-depth looks at these suits will be shared on Insomniac Games’ social media accounts.
A deep dive into new suits and their designers, such as Miles’ Biomechanical Suit by Jerad Marantz and Peter’s Tactical Suit by Bend Studios, is provided. The post includes concept art, renders, and a snippet of the trailer’s action. The game launches on October 20, 2023.
